3. THE ADJUSTERS' MEETING

Be sure to have your Meridian Restoration Representative meet with your insurance adjuster to show them the damages you are aware of and concerned about. We’ve been to these meetings countless times and understand how they work and what to do afterwards.

4. BEFORE WORK BEGINS

4. BEFORE WORK BEGINS

Your insurance company will provide an estimate for repairs after they assess the damage. We review this estimate to determine if work can start or if revisions, called supplements, are needed. It’s quite common that the first estimate the insurance carrier provides will require a supplement. Rest assured we know what’s needed.

5. STARTING THE REPAIRS

7. INVOICING AND PAYMENTS

To help provide you with peace of mind and confidence, Meridian Restoration does not require down payments to get the work started. Our first payment request will come after major work has started. Our final invoice will be sent later when all repair work is complete. It’s common to have your mortgage company listed as a payee on the first check from your insurance company, see the next step for more detail on the mortgage company process.

8. MORTGAGE COMPANY PROCESS

Often, checks from the insurance company will have your mortgage company listed as a payee. You will need to contact your mortgage company’s Loss Draft Department and obtain their required forms. Fill out the portion of the forms applicable to you, then forward the forms to your Meridian Restoration Representative and we will fill out the portion of the forms that require the contractor’s information.

9. SUPPLEMENTS.

9. SUPPLEMENTS.

During the construction process additional materials and labor may be needed. We document these requirements and provide the information to your insurance company (this is called a supplement.) Your insurance company will revise their estimate to confirm supplements. Be sure to always send a copy of the revised estimate to your Meridian Restoration Representative.

10. FINAL INVOICE AND WARRANTY REGISTRATION

10. FINAL INVOICE AND WARRANTY REGISTRATION

Once work is completed and any required supplements approved, we will send a copy of the final invoice to you and your insurance company.
